What payers can do for their payees
Payers can edit a connected payee's profile details, request verification and tax information, control which payout rails are available, and create payout links without contacting Dots support. What you can change depends on your team role's capabilities and on the payee's verification state.
Actual access is enforced by capabilities, not just the broad role label. If an action is missing for a payee, your role may not have permission, or the payee's verification state may lock the field.
What you can change at a glance

Edit a payee's phone number, email, or name
Update these when a payee can't log in or receive messages because their contact details are wrong. The most common case is a payee who entered the wrong phone number during onboarding and can no longer receive a verification code.
Open the Payees page and click the payee.
Open the action menu and choose Edit user details.
Enter the new First name, Last name, Email, Country code, or Phone number.
Save the change.
First and last name must be supplied together. The updated profile is saved immediately.
Edit compliance info (date of birth, address, TIN)
Compliance fields are editable only when the payee's verification state allows it, and only for payees your role can manage. Open the payee, open Compliance info, and choose Edit. Date of birth and other verified fields are locked after identity verification, and a verified date of birth cannot be changed through the dashboard. Address editing is available only for US-based payees.
For the full date-of-birth workflow and its restrictions, see Edit a user's date of birth in the dashboard.
Request information from a payee
Request tax forms, identity verification, a background check, a document signature, or payout-method setup, and deliver the request link by email or text. Open the payee's action menu and choose Request information, select the steps, optionally enable Block payouts until all selected steps are completed, then generate the link and send it. This creates a new request link; it is not a KYC reset.
For the full flow, including document templates and delivery options, see Request info from a user.
Manage payout methods and rails
Manage rails controls which payout methods are available to a payee — enable or exclude ACH, Wire, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, AirTM, Payoneer, and Crypto. This controls availability, not the payee's existing destination account. Payees add or update their own payout method at my.dots.dev. Through the payer API you can add and list payout methods, set a default, and toggle auto-payout.
View a payee's transfer history
See every payout a payee has received from Reports → Payees. This workflow requires permission to view payees; without it, the dashboard shows an access-restricted page.
Open Reports → Payees and select a payee.
On the payee's Overview page, review the Transfers section. Each transfer shows its ID, Date, Amount, Type, Status, and Memo.
Use Previous and Next to move through pages of 20 transfers. The controls appear only when the payee has more than one page of transfers.
Select a transfer ID or its row to open that transfer's detail page.
A payee with no payouts shows "No transfers for this payee yet." If the list fails to load, it shows "Unable to load transfers. Please refresh and try again." Switching to a different payee resets the list to its first page, so you never see a previous payee's transfers.
Create and manage payout links
Create a new payout link from Send Payouts → Generate Link, then copy it to send yourself. You can copy, open, cancel, and reverse existing links. There is no payer-dashboard control to change the recipient email or phone on an already-created link.
What requires Dots support
These actions are internal-only and not available as ordinary payer self-service:
Resetting a payee's W-8BEN tax form state — see Reset a payee's W-8BEN tax form state.
Sending a fresh identity-verification link to restart a KYC session.
Redelivering an existing payout link.
Contact Dots support for these.
